1920. BATTLE OF WARSAW (2011)

In the framework of "WISLA Film Festival" the Landmark will host the screening of "Battle of Warsaw 1920".

"The Battle of Warsaw 1920" is a magnficent historical fresco about one of the 18 most important battles in the world's history, according to Lord Edgar D'Abernon. It portrays a miracoulous and heroic victory of Polish army over the Vistula River. This battle stopped the Red Army in Europe and allowed Poland to maintain the newly regained independence for the next twenty nine years.

The film is set in Warsaw in 1920. Yan is a poet and cavalryman, having received an order to join the polish-Bolshevik front, he proposed to Alexandra - a cabaret artist. Lovers do not know wheter they can meet again and how does the war end.
